This system utilizes a unique Velcro attachment that allows you to easily remove or replace the snares in seconds to meet your sonic needs. The bare snare does not come with the drum. Please contact Cajongo Musical Instrument Company to purchase one of the many varieties that they offer.

Mike Meadows talks about the features of this cajon

This innovative Cajon model has many features that set it apart from the rest of the pack!

The Corsoba Cajon is taller and narrower than most Cajons so that it is high enough to be used as a drum throne.

It also features three playing surfaces - one with snare wires, one without, and a small interchangeable / adjustable panel on the side.

This drum is equip to accept the Swan foot pedal bracket on any side, so that it can be played by either your foot, hands or both!

About Swan Percussion
Swan Percussion began in 2008 as a collaboration between Eric Holland, a designer and craftsman, and Mike Meadows, an established world-class percussionist. Together they developed The Black Swan Drum, inspired by the Ghanaian Gombe (Gome) but with innovations including an instant tuning system, quick head change system, and the ability to incorporate any standard 16" floor tom head. The Black Swan was so well received that they continued to develop more instruments. Today, Swan Percussion is committed to creating high quality, versatile, innovative percussion instruments for the discerning professional and amateur alike.

  1. Excited, but confused.

Posted by jsm on 21st Nov 2015

I bought this drum for my son-in-law for his birthday. We were excited to have him open it and start to play it. After watching the promo video, I thought it was going to include at least the hook to hang the bells on, and the bar to attach the drum pedal. Also, thought it was going to include some sort of written instructions or hint sheet. It would have been nice to at least have printed information regarding where to acquire the attachments. The only thing in the box was the drum nicely wrapped in bubble wrap. Also, was not sure if the "Swan" insignia was suppose to have a mar (missing lettering) at the "w". Also, my son-in-law did not find any difference in the two side panels. I thought it was going to have three sides with each having a different sound capability.

I bought this for a gift for my husband. It came sooner than expected which was nice. The cajon sounds great and is made very nicely. I'd definitely order more Swan products.
