Description

Developed by master ceramisist, Frank Giorgini, the clay construction of LP Udu® Drums is based upon centuries-old African traditions. Each LP Udu Drum offers individual tonal values. They can be played by hitting any part of the drum with the palm of the hand or the finger tips. The textured surfaces provide additional tonal variations by creating rubbing sounds.

15" Udu

Absolutely love it! Not performance volume unless using a mic. I love it because I can sit on the couch, play it and no one else can hear it.

Claytone Udu

This udu is super, has a deep tone, easy to play. The shipping was very fast, had my udu in 2 days. I plan to buy more udu's from X8 drums!

A great udu

I have 3 other LP udus (Mbwata, Utar and Udongo II), but this one may be my favorite. The tone is beautifully resonant and it lends itself to a wide variety of playing techniques. You can also get distinctly different pitches by striking different parts of the surface. This is the model I'd suggest to someone looking to buy one (or a first) udu.

LP Claytone 3

I've been wanting an udu for some time and finally decided on this drum. I used the online chat feature and videos at X8 to help me decide. Great customer service and a great drum. Love that udu bass sound. I'll be ordering from X8 again for sure.
