Measuring 15.5" tall with an 8" diameter head, it makes a great grab-and-go hand drum for your travels while the full-sized gem sits safely at home.

  • The playing surface is a traditional goatskin drum head with a rope tuning system.

    I was surprised at the high quality of the drum. The handpainted design is really beautiful. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my 5-year-old Grand-Daughter and I'm sure she will love it! It really is a quality item, don't let the low price fool you.

    I'm looking forward to sharing this drum with my young students this Fall! The drum is well-made, has a nice design, is sturdy with a durable drum head and it has a nice sound. The small size is great for children or for an adult wanting a drum that's easy to transport.

    I ordered this drum at the last minute for my Grandson for Christmas and it arrived on a Sunday, days ahead of what I was expecting. I am more than satisfied with the price, ordering process, chat information/help (was GREAT!) and delivery time. The drum is beautiful and I am positive my Grandson will be happy.     I often bicycle to the local drum circle and this will be light and much more comfortable than my other drums. Small, but, great sound !

    My 3 year old has developed a love of the djembe drum after attending classes where they are played. He is learning to play and having a great time in the process. The fabulous staff at X8 recommended this drum. It is a great size and fits him well, plus room to grow. The drum is beautiful, sturdy, and has a great sound. Thank you X8.
