This, next generation, guiro is made of recycled plastic so it can be played inside or out of doors with out hesitation. Drag the rubbing a stick along the parallel notches cut in the upper side to produce a ratchet sound. Change the sound by rubbing the stick over the notches slowly, quickly, in one direction or back and forth. The guiro measures 7 x 1.5 x 1.5 inches. The rubbing stick is 7 x 0.75 x 0.75 inches.
