Women Drummers Keep the Beat Alive

Donna Schellenberger knows that you’re never too old to pick up a drumming habit. The fifty-seven year old bought her first drum kit at age fifty and has been enjoying them ever since. The physical therapist has been recovering from her own injuries, but still finds time to bang out some beats. A lifelong drummer whose dream was thwarted by a music teacher who told her that girls don’t play the drums and handed her a clarinet, instead, Donna was always banging on things as a child.
