New Team Drumming World Record
A new world record for “longest marathon drumming by a team” has been set. World Record Academy reports that 35 drummers were brought together by The Academy of Contemporary Music to break the previous world record of 66 hours. The ACM team drummed for over 70 hours at ACM’s Roger Taylor Zildjian Studio in Guildford, UK. The record-breaking attempt aimed to help the Clean My Teeth campaign for The British Dental Health Foundation, Heart Your Smile, and Bridge2Aid. Each drummer played for two hours and drum sticks were provided by Zildjian and Vic Firth. Previous record holders were also from the UK.
