Oklahoma Teachers Look to World Drumming
Teachers in Oklahoma are hoping to soon be able to incorporate a popular music curriculum. World Music Drumming clinicians recently held a workshop at Oklahoma State University with the hopes of expanding the curriculum’s reach. According to Hispanic Business, the program not only teaches music from various cultures, it also makes the music more accessible for students. They get to actually experience the music and how everything works together, rather than simply reading about it in books. Several teachers are excited about the program and hope it sticks.
