Music Eases Pain in Children

Studies are showing that music helps alleviate pain for children undergoing procedures. Montreal’s The Gazette reports that a new University of Alberta study has revealed that music helps reduce the perception of pain in children. Forty-two children were divided into two groups; one group listened to music will their IVs were inserted and the other group did not.
