Accessing Memory Through Music
In recent studies, it has been shown that music can help patients with Alzheimer's and dementia become more calm or even recall events from the past. Another study, however, shows the same can be said for the effect music has on a person who has experienced a traumatic brain injury. According to voxxi.com, a study was performed on patients who had experienced brain injuries at different points in their lives in which popular songs throughout time were played, leading to emotional responses and memories recalled.
