How the Bongos are Played: Bongo drums produce high-pitched sounds, and should be held between the knees. They are traditionally played by striking the drumheads with the fingers and palms, although some contemporary compositions require sticks or brushes. These drums can also be played on a stand, as is the case with concert orchestras and bands.

    Great look!

I decided to buy myself a pair of Bongos since my parents won't let me get a drum set. I was really surprised that the bongos were so shiny and good quality. I'm still learning to play them but they are really well made and don't feel cheap at all. Great price for the quality!

These were a gift for a friend, and he absolutely loves them! They are so cool looking, and they sound great! The company went out of their way to make sure they arrived in time for my friend's birthday. Just an overall awesome experience with the purchase and customer service!

    Awesome Bongos

These are worth the money. I compared many bongo sets locally and online and found this to be a pretty sweet spot for price to quality. All the hardware is solid, the heads sound great, they weigh a ton and resonate well. I love the look of the chromed metal over many of the other black powder-coated sets available. I expect this bongo set to last longer than me! 5 stars!

    GREAT VALUE NICE TONES

Posted by Unknown on 14th Jul 2014

To get started with bongos I wanted something in this price range. After reading review after reviews I came across these and that was it. These have all the appointments of more expensive bongos but with out the price tag. Siam Oak shells with high gloss finish. A bit larger drums 7 and 8.5 inches with Water Buffalo natural heads. The hardware is nice and strong. Probably not quite LP but nicely chromed and not cheap what so ever. These tune up to beautiful bongo tones. The rims are nicely elevated above the hoops and very comfortable to play. Excellent customer service and advice from 8X Drums. By the time I got a tracking number they were sitting on my door step the same day. Shipped instantly no fooling around.

    Tycoon Percussion Concerto Series Bongos

Posted by Gene Jackey on 10th Jul 2014

I really like these bongos. I have the mahogany finish and it looks like glass, so smooth. One area of the upper chrome ring has some discoloration, almost looks like the chrome peeled. They are fun and addicting. I have no musical ability, but after watching how to play them on Youtube, I had a pretty good beat going. Even my sister was impressed.
