MEINL VivaRhythm Boom Series Bass Drums deliver a lower overall tone with outstanding projection. The synthetic shell features a rubber bottom to prevent slippage or scratching and is shaped to allow air to escape from the shell. This creates low fundamental tone that resonates fully. A pre-tuned synthetic head gives a robust attack.

    I purchased this drum for a 28 month-old child who loves to drum...on anything. It has a sturdy construction, looks good (child's favorite colors), a pre-tuned head, and was priced right. It was price right, too. The lack of keys sticking out, the cylindrical shape, and rubber feet make this just right and safe for children. The child also loved the mallet that was included with the drum. It makes a pleasant bass sound that amplifies well because of the leg design. I am confident that the child will get years of use from this drum. Seems to be a good drum for amateur or occasional drummers of any age.
