Watch a demonstration of this Meinl Snare Cajon

Made of the finest of American White Ash, Meinl sacrifices nothing for quality. If you're looking for the unique percussive sound that has infiltrated the Billboard Top 100, with artists like Anastacia, Nada Surf and Violent Femmes using the traditional Peruvian flamenco cajon, look no further than the Meinl Snare Cajon with American White Ash Frontplate.

Fabulous design makes the Meinl Snare Cajon a great buy for drummers. The padded top provides comfort and the rubber footing on the bottom protects floors from damage from wooden edges, allowing you to play for longer and give better performances. Like all Meinl Snare cajons, the drum has adjustable top screws, which maintain the amount of crash in the instrument. Tightened screws give a mild crash, while loose screws provide more volume.

The Meinl innovation of a full set of snare wires located within the cajon's body, which are adjustable from the exterior drum body, using the knurled finger knob on the side of the cajon. This allows the drummer to customize the effect of the snare while playing. The knurled finger knob is a precise tool that allows great sensitivity in subtle gradations of snare volume. Should you choose, you can completely disable the snare.

The Meinl Snare Cajon with American White Ash frontplate is the first step on the road to becoming as accomplished with a cajon as Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucia.
