The Meinl Headliner Series Cajon with Mahogany frontplate has adjustable top corners that can be adjusted with an Allen wrench that is included with the Cajon. Adjustment of the top corners creates different amounts of percussive timbre and snap to fit the player's desired sound. Loosen the screws for loud crash and tighten them for a more mild effect.
Inside of the box drum are wires that span across the Mahogany frontplate. Tension on these wires creates the sizzle effect. Meinl Headliner Series Cajons have adjustable sizzle effect. The musician just adjusts the tension of the wires until they have the sizzle effects they want.
