I was very satisfied with my orders from X8 drums. Everything arrived in very good condition. The only problem was my first order was 1 screw short, for the front panel of the cajon, but I had extra screws in the garage, so it all worked out. I will continue ordering from X8 drums for future needs.
I received my "Build your own cajon" kit very quickly, and I've had a lot of fun building it. Great product at a great price, and very timely delivery.
I was pleased overall with this product. The parts were all there. The wood was of a decent quality and the instructions were easy to follow. The instrument, when completed, had descent tonal quality. I bought this kit for my 20 year old son on his birthday. We were able to build this instrument together, which was a good experience for both of us. I might say that the prompt service of X8 Drums was top notch and I have already recommended your company to another drummer. The price was very friendly and I will continue to recommend your company go other musicians. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Lynn Arant.
Thanks x8drums. I have received my cajon and I like it very much.
We are in the process of putting our cajon together. All is going well and we are quite pleased.
The drum is beautiful and seems to be very sturdy. Assembly was simple and straight forward. A great family project.
So my daughter wanted drums for Christmas. We looked for the next cool thing and found this Cajon kit. We both like to build stuff and found this as a great adventure and end to the Christmas holidays. It was easy to build, only needed glue and many clamps to get it done quickly. The wood was high quality and cut to perfection enabling quick and easy construction.
Thanks for the prompt delivery and the memories from building it together.
She will enjoy playing and decorating it.
Great project to do with my 2 grandsons.
I just finished building a cajon with my teen age nephew . I wanted to make this a one day project so used epoxy . Big mistake. It takes significant amount of time to assemble the sides and top and bottom. We had some alignment problems and the epoxy set before we could make it perfect. Use tight bond II rather than epoxy. The hole drill pattern did not work for us. We ended up filling in holes and redrilling.
The snare sounded odd. We took it out.
The good news is at the end of day we Had a great sounding cajon. With no snare the great tone of the cajon came through. We finished it with teak oil, looked great. Sounded even better than it looked. One advantage of using epoxy is that the box is rock solid. That could have added to the wonderful sound. We did use the upgraded sound board.
