The Uncompromising Gon Bops California Series
How do you build the finest Latin instruments in the world? You begin with only the finest, hand-selected air-dryed, quarter-sawn Red Appalachian Oak. Each stave is meticulously cut and bent by hand. Steel rings are hammered into place, and the staves are cured for months. The shells are hand-glued, hammered into shape again and turned by an Artisan who has made the shells in this traditional fashion for over 20 years. By the time they are hand-sanded to a baby-soft finish, a whole year has passed.

Gon Bops 3 piece California series bongos

First off....I believe that the Gon Bops California series bongos with Remo heads are the best sounding bongos available. Next, the quality of this 3 piece set-up is first class. the bass bongo is the only one I know of being produced this way, and the dw custom stand is second to none. This product is unique and sounds incredible. If you like bongos and plan to make them a focus in playing for enjoyment, for fun, just therapy, or serious professional use, don't bother starting out with less like so many others do including myself. Spend the extra money and go straight to the top of the line. These are simply the best....you'll be pleased...I promise!
