Turning on the Music to Turn on Mental Health
Music soothes the savage beast, so they say, but it is perhaps more than just listening to or playing music that provides the best benefit for those facing stress and anxiety. Michigan State University Extension recently released information that corroborates the common need people people have to listen to music in times of stress. It is this behavior, it seems, that is a natural reaction to bad feelings that most humans share, as the use of music as a tool for mental health.
