Taking a Chance on a World Record
Boston.com reports that a man in Salem will be attempting to drum for over 30 hours straight to raise money for a music program in his community. Aaron Katz is attempting to raise at least $5,000 to donate to his local boys and girls club. Katz wants this to be a community effort and has invited people to join him in playing instruments, even if they can only give a few minutes of their time. The current world record for longest drum performance is currently 122 hours and 25 minutes, a goal Katz would like to break with his community if possible. In the days leading up to the performance Katz is trying to keep everyone at a high energy level in anticipation of this community project.
