Sculptor Creates Drumsticks as Art Tribute
French artist Nicolas Fenouillat has erected a sculpture that pays homage to Queen drummer Roger Taylor. The artist, himself, is a drummer and, according to Lynn News, was aiming to make the sculpture look like “drumsticks smashing the air.” The work consists of five sculpted tree trunks sticking out of the ground. Nicolas says he was mindful of the flooding the field goes through and wanted to erect the sculpture pieces in the particular spot they are in so that the drumsticks would cast shadows on the water. He looks forward to people interacting with the sculpture as they enjoy the field. Read more here: KING’S LYNN: Sculpture is tribute to Queen (the band)
