Saying Goodbye to Levon
“Levon” is a name that may quickly bring to mind the vocal talent of Elton John, from the 1971 song bearing the same name. Elton John was a huge fan of Levon Helm during the 60s and 70s. Helm, The Band’s co-founder, drummer, and singer was the inspiration for not only a song, but also as a name for John's adopted son, also born on Christmas Day. TheBoot.com reports that in memory of Levon Helm, who passed away from cancer in 2012, John and several other music acts will join together on stage in tribute of the man who helped inspire so many dreams throughout modern music.
