Music Treatment Brings Smiles to African Children
As the interest in African drums continues to grow in the U.S., the land from which our favorite djembes, djun djuns and other hand percussion instruments is benefiting from our love of the culture, as well. Wicked Local Winchester reports that a woman in South Africa has chosen a local hospital as a community service project after spending time with the children in the hospital being treated for various conditions, including tuberculosis. Catherine Palmer explains her hesitation and then dedication to these upbeat children who face more than a few nights in a hospital. Read more here:
