I bought this as a gift for my 12 yr old son. Great success and a fun project to build. The cajon sounds exactly the same as in the demo. Perfect! Thx for fast delivery.
The kit was relatively easy to put together. After a couple coats of polyurethane it was ready to go. It is not the prettiest cajon (a simple box) but it sounds terrific and has a great bass.
Best cajon I have ever heard. Did extensive research before purchasing this kit. Has a wonderful rock sound with very deep bass and adjustable snare. I used hard wax oil to condition the wood once assembled. Beautiful! Just be careful how many coats you put on the drum head. I would suggest only one coat on the head but as many as you'd like on the top and sides. Too much on the head muffles the sound.
