Kopf S-Series Snare Cajon
The Kopf Percussion S-Series Snare cajon features a solid poplar shell and dual playing surfaces made of baltic birch. The playing surface is secured with black oxide coated steel screws. All Kopf S- Series Cajones have a hand rubbed clear satin finish to allow the natural overtones of the wood to come through.
Everything is handcrafted in the USA, right down to the custom seat on the top of the drum.

Best cajon made

In my opinion, this is the best standard-sized cajon made, bar none. I am 100% pleased with my purchase!
Terrific tone and versatility

I have owned a number of Cajon's including a much more expensive one BUT NONE have compared to the tonal quality of this one, by far and away my favorite, we play in a lot of Church settings and I have never even had to mic it as the bass response is incredible, I had debated between this and the double shot but my style and usage the single shot has plenty of snap and when I want to mellow it out I simply turn it 180 degrees and I have a much softer and different sound. Great quality, beautiful to look at, comfortable to sit on. Does't get much better !!!!
High-End Cajon at a midlevel price

Beautiful sounding Cajon with big full bass tone and nice snare sound. Not only does this instrument sound great but it is beautifully made too. The padded seat cushion is a plus making for a very comfortable playing experience. X8 Percussion also included a very nice and durable case, free with the purchase. Hard to beat deal. Highly recommended!

I took a bit of a risk buying a cajon I hadn't heard or played in person but I'm so glad I did. You really get what you pay for with kopf. Looks great, sounds great, feels great.
A Good Deal on a Great Cajon

I couldn't be happier with the sound of my Kopf cajon. From my research, I gather the thicker than most poplar shell is responsible for the deep, punchy bass that separates nicely from the crisp snare and the cracking slap shots. The only complaint I have is that the cushion actually seems to make sitting LESS comfortable because I have to sit on the edge of the cushion, so a wider flat surface would be preferable. But playing this instrument is still a joy. The feel and bounce of the Baltic birch tapa makes playing a pleasure. I am thankful for the quick delivery. Although the drum didn't seem to leave X8 for two days, it still arrived the fifth day after my order. Thank you for your service and for an excellent transaction. I'll be coming back to X8 for accessories and to use the points I've earned.

Excellent drum. Sturdy, pretty and a great bass tone.

I used the Kopf Snare Cajon for an outdoor stage gig where I needed both the snare and conga sounds. The sound tech set up a boom mic so I could move it to either side and it worked great. Audience members couldn't believe the solid bass, snare and conga sounds I was able to produce.
Very Nice Cajon

Very well crafted cajon ... Good snare sound and well rounded tones on both drum surfaces.
Couldn't be happier with my new Kopf cajon.

Just unbelievable! I'm new to playing the cajon, and percussion in general, and I've only ever tried one cajon at Guitar Center. I purchased the Kopf cajon based on reviews and research that I did online and the comparison in the quality between the two blows me away. The bass is so boomy and the snare so crisp. The seat on top is brilliant. The whole thing feels solid as a rock. I would definitely buy Kopf again and will recommend then to anyone interested in a high quality affordable cajon.
Newbie loves this!

I play fretted instruments (guitar, mandolin, dobro, lap steel, UKE and some bass) in my acoustic group and was looking for a way to add some percussion to the mix. I never tried cajon (or drums for that sake) and decided to try this one on recommendation of rep. at X8 Drums as being most flexible. Also like idea of the padded seat and had good reviews. I love it so much I find myself spending more time on it than my regular instruments! Found a good way to mic it and adding Kickport and other accessories. Support from Steve at Kofp is also excellent!
