The Kulkul Wooden Bell is a traditional instrument from Bali, Indonesia that plays a significant role in religious and cultural ceremonies.

In Bali, this instrument can be found hanging inside the top level of ornate pavilions. It is positioned so that when played, the sound can be heard over vast distances.

Various rhythms played on the Kulkul describe different events or emotions such as happiness, grief, announcement of marriage, emergency warnings or community meetings.

  1. Nice Instrument But Very Large

Posted by Antonio Fuentes on 16th Jul 2014

X8 Drums is a great place to buy. I always buy from here. Why? Because they have a HUGE selection of items, good prices, and outstanding customer service. Fantastic service.

The Kulkul Wooden Bell was very nice however, I had to return it because it was too big to handle. I should have beeen more careful before I placed the order.

However, if the large size does not bother you then this is a very beautiful good sounding instrument. It was manufactured in a very nice manner using high quality wood.
    Highly recommended.
