Tycoon Percussion instruments are played by the top percussionists and drummers on the biggest stages around the world. Tycoon uses only certified plantation-farmed wood and wood from forests with sustainably-harvested processes in the production of its instruments. Specifically, the Rubber Wood used in the majority of Tycoon's drums are taken from plantations that plant new trees every 5-7 years for harvesting rubber. Once the trees can no longer produce rubber, they are cut down to make way for new trees and Tycoon uses that wood to make its drums. This environmentally conscious manufacturing philosophy has been part of the Tycoon mindset since the company's inception, meaning that each Tycoon Percussion drum is a responsible choice for the future.

This year, Tycoon Percussion celebrates the company's 30th Anniversary and continues to set the standard for hand percussion products all over the world.

The staff at X8 Drums are especially impressed with the bongos and congas by Tycoon. When shopping the bongos, even the least expensive Ritmo Series Bongos are extremely well made and have good tone. Our favorite from the Bongo selection though are the Master Tour Series Bongos. The photos don't do them justice... just wait until you see the detail of the unqiue finish and feel the weight of these professional level drums. The congas are just as nice.
