| Watch a demonstration of this Meinl Snare Cajon The Orange Burl Snare Cajon from Meinl is a striking instrument. With a frontplate made of Orange Burl and a resonating body made of White Burl, this fusion of material previously unseen in the cajon manufacturing world combines beauty with function. No one will be able to look away from this handsome instrument, and after you start playing, no one will want to.
Meinl gives you even more customization choice with the adjustable screws located at the top of the cajon. These screws adjust to change the amount of crash heard while playing. Tight screws give a quiet crash; loose screws give a louder crash.
Using the innovative Meinl practice of including a full set of snare wires in the body of the cajon, which is accessible by using the knurled finger knob on the side of the drum body, drummers are able to precisely choose the amount of snare they want to hear in their drumming. If you want to go for a traditional flamenco feel, turn your snare sensitivity to low, whereas if you would like a more contemporary sound in the vein of Ben Harper and the Dixie Chicks, use more sensitivity.
