Meinl offers you the best in Original African Style Rope Tuned Wood Djembes. Crafted from a solid piece of mahogany wood that have been finished with immaculate precision, these instruments demand attention with fabulous details and make for fabulous, full volume sound. The head is made from hand-selected goat skins, which is attached to the drum body by double braided HTP nylon ropes, and carved shells make up the decorative sidings.

The extra large wooden djembe has a diameter of approximately thirteen inches, and is about twenty-five inches tall. The drum comes with a professional djembe bag, made of heavy-duty padded nylon, to protect your drum while being transported.

The rope tuning system guarantees long-lasting tuning; providing full, rich tones from the base. The sound of the slap is tight, creating the perfect accent. You’ll be pleased with your choice in djembe, from its beautiful exterior to the incredible sound you can create.
