The Flower Power cloth covered cajon combines adorable designs with time-honored instrumentals. The cloth itself provides new sound possibilities as you can use the texture as its own instrument.
Furthermore, the Flower Power cajon creates the sizzle effect with a system of guitar strings that touch the frontplate on the interior of the drum, spanning from top to bottom. When the guitar strings vibrate, they cause a rattle that sounds like a sizzle. You can adjust the sizzle for your musical tastes.
Like other Meinl cajons, the top corners of the drum are adjustable using the included allen wrench. By tightening the screws on the corners, you muffle the crash effect. Loosening them achieves the opposite; the crash effect is strengthened.
Meinl includes simple design improvements to give you the best cajon experience possible. The padded seat cushion helps lengthy practice sessions go by quickly, with no worry about comfort. Also, the rubber footing provides stability no matter what floor surface you play on, giving you options about where you'll play. These small legs also raise the underside of your drum off the floor, keeping your drum safe from damage.
