Originating in Africa, the Shekere is played by rapidly shaking and tossing the shell in the player's hand, generating its distinctive rattle sounds while hitting the bottom of the shell with the palm to create drum-like bass tones. While keeping with the traditions of the instruments, the fiberglass shell allows for added durability and displays vibrant colors.- Durable fiberglass body produce deep bass tones when played with the palm of the hand.
