Michael Pluznick's Kakilambe Rhythm on Djembe Lesson
The Kakilambe Rhythm is a mask dance rhythm from Guinea, West Africa.
In this lesson Michael Pluznick will show you how to take the traditional Kakilambe Rhythm arrangement and play it on one drum. You will learn three different parts of the Kakilambe rhythm that can be played on djembe.
First you will learn the original, traditional djembe part.
The second will be with a new part that Michael created which uses the traditional dundunba part from the arrangement.
The third part of Kakilambe rhythm for one person on djembe will be to combine parts one and two.
